A local government council in Woking seeks an Administration Assistant to support day-to-day operations in the Financial Assessment and Income Collection Team. Successful candidates will need strong customer service and IT skills, as well as experience in a busy office environment. This permanent role has a starting salary of £27,634 per annum, based on a 36 hour working week.
We have a great opportunity as an Administration Assistant to join our Financial Assessment and Income Collection Team based in Victoria Gate, Woking. This position is office based.

About the Team
The Team is the first point of contact for information for Surrey Residents on how the council charges for care and support services. The position sits within the Adults, Wellbeing and Partnerships Directorate and is a critical front door to the service and the customer journey.
About The Role
In this role, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the team to enable the smooth running of day-to-day activities. You will have the ability to work collaboratively within our team, supporting the service to deliver key priorities. You will have a flexible approach and be well organised and be able to work under pressure, with the ability to work towards deadlines demonstrating a high level of customer service. You will have good communication skills both written and verbal as you will be expected to deal with telephone enquiries and a wide range of correspondence, case recording and scanning duties.
You will need to have excellent IT skills, be able to efficiently and accurately enter data on databases and spreadsheets.
You will have previous experience of working in a busy office environment and the ability to work as part of a team within existing working protocols and procedures whilst being proactive and using your initiative within the scope of the job role.
