Job summary
A reputable recruitment agency is seeking a Band 5 Pharmacy Technician to work within the Pharmacy Department at a busy NHS Trust in the West Midlands. The role involves undertaking medicines reconciliation, supporting clinical pharmacy services, and optimizing medication use. Candidates must have GPhC Registration and CPT Qualification, alongside good communication and organizational skills. This full-time position is onsite only, offering a rate of £16 - £20 per hour depending on experience.

As a Band 5 Clinical Pharmacy Technician you will work within the Pharmacy Department at this busy NHS Trust, supporting delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centred medicines optimisation services. You will work closely with pharmacists and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality clinical pharmacy support across inpatient areas, contributing to improved patient outcomes and the efficient use of medicines.
- Undertake medicines reconciliation for patients on admission, transfer and discharge
- Support Ward-Based clinical pharmacy services alongside pharmacists
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to optimise medicines use
- Provide accurate medicines-related information to patients and healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with local policies, national guidance, and NHS Standards
- Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate clinical and pharmacy documentation
- GPhC Registration
- CPT Qualification
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
