What We're Looking For
- A strong background in Claims management.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and inspire teams.
- A proactive mindset and appetite for continuous improvement.
What will your day look like
- Ownership and oversight of the claims handling team, including management of team workload.
- Managing a mixture of remote and office‑based claims handlers.
- Development of claims handlers to achieve client SLA's via support and coaching.
- Ensure a high level of staff engagement.
- Attend Client Review Meetings where appropriate.
- Conduct regular performance and audit reviews, including annual PDR's.
- Managing claims handler absences.
- Continuous improvement focus leading excellent customer service and technical delivery of claims.
- Complaint escalation point.
- Ensure Key Performance Indicator targets are reached and maintained.
- Oversight of payment audit approval process to defined limits.
- Involvement in recruitment and interview processes for claims handler/administrator roles.
Knowledge and Abilities
- A genuine passion for people management.
- The confidence and gravitas to act as an efficient escalation point: Claims and team related queries / complaints.
- Experience of Customer Service and Claims Management in an insurance background.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- The ability to organise own workload.
