The position involves predominantly clinical hours, with potential shift work to meet service needs.

We are seeking a motivated, dynamic, and solutions-focused nurse to join the DFMHLD Senior Leadership Team as a Forensic Bed Manager and Discharge Coordinator. This role requires excellent judgment, discretion, and decision-making skills to manage admissions and discharges for a diverse patient population within forensic services on local, regional, and national levels.

The ideal candidate will have significant clinical experience at Band 6, be a Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse, and possess strong knowledge of Mental Health Legislation. Autonomy in decision-making, effective communication skills, including negotiation and persuasion, and the ability to facilitate critical admission and discharge discussions are essential. The candidate should also have excellent networking skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines within the organization and the wider Forensic Network.
