Job summary

A leading care provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated individual to lead a team in delivering person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities. Role Overview

Responsibilities & Requirements
  • The role involves providing practical assistance and emotional support to empower the team, to enable them to help the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations.
  • Experience of residential care for a small residential (7 bed) would be desirable.
  • Experience of managing a team of at least 25 staff to provide person-centred care to adults with a learning disabilities.
  • Experience of inter‑department working and acceptance that no two days may be the same. This is a fast‑pace environment, with the aim of enhancing the experience and lives of the people we support.
  • You must have or be working towards an NVQ level 5 in Health and Social Care, you must also be flexible.
  • Experience of conditions such as PICA.
  • Experience with auditing and leading from the front, also take the lead to help Support Workers understand their responsibilities and by doing so ensure that safe, effective, caring, responsive and well‑led support and care is delivered at all times.
  • You will be proactive and support the development and skills of Support Workers. This will include recruitment, induction, supervisions, annual appraisals, training, coaching, rota management, sickness and absence management.
  • You will ensure that all the people we support have person‑centred support/care plans. You will be able to create and update these plans as per any changes that are required.
  • You will oversee and support the development of excellent quality within the service. You will design, develop and maintain excellent service user records. Working in a supportive manner that empowers the service user to live their life in their chosen manner.
