Job summary
A school in West Yorkshire is seeking a full-time assistant site manager to support cleaning and maintenance teams. Responsibilities include supervising cleaners, performing inspections and basic repairs, and adhering to safety policies. The position offers £13 to £18 per hour, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
Qualifications
- Experience in facility management or related fields.
- Ability to manage cleaning and maintenance teams effectively.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning the building or supervising a team of Cleaners.
- Inspecting the building, including heating, cooling, lighting, and alarm systems.
- Performing basic repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
Empowering Learning is working with a school in west yorkshire who need a assistant site manager - school based. This is a full time job starting asap, supporting the schools cleaning and maintenance teams. The school will need someone to open and close. This can be done over a split shift with a gap in the middle of the day. The pay is 13 to 18 per hour and may become permanent for the right candidate.
- Cleaning the building or supervising a team of Cleaners
- Gardening and performing landscape duties or supervising others in these roles
- Inspecting the building, including heating, cooling, lighting and alarm systems to make sure they are in good working order
- Performing basic repairs and maintenance tasks as required
- Sourcing, booking and supervising contractors for major repairs
- Monitoring cleaning materials, tools, and furniture and reordering as required
- Managing bookings for any buildings or rooms available for hire
- Opening building at the start of the day and locking all doors and windows when not in operation
- Adhering to the company's safety policies to create a safe working environment for everyone
