School Business Manager - Primary School, Haringey
Start Date: January 2026
Salary: 40,000 - 55,000 per annum pro rata (depending on experience)

Full-time, long-term role - Monday to Friday

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated School Business Manager to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Haringey from January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to play a key role in the strategic and operational management of the school.

The successful candidate will have proven experience working as a Business Manager or Bursar in a school setting, with a strong understanding of financial management, HR, premises management, and compliance within education.

Responsibilities
  • Lead on financial planning, budgeting, and resource management, ensuring value for money and effective use of funds.
  • Oversee school HR functions, including recruitment, contracts, payroll, and staff welfare.
  • Manage premises and facilities, ensuring the school environment is safe, secure, and fully compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure statutory compliance in areas such as safeguarding, GDPR, and procurement.
  • Work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to support strategic planning and school improvement.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, including the Local Authority, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Oversee ICT, administration, and office management functions, ensuring efficient systems and processes.
  • Support the Governing Body with accurate reports and financial data to inform decision-making.

This role requires someone with excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills who can contribute to the continued success and development of the school.
