Primary School Intervention Teaching Assistant

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant seeking a new challenge at a supportive primary school in Waltham Forest, London for an ASAP start? Do you have experience working with primary aged children on interventions in both group and 1:1 settings? Do you want a role with clear career progression opportunities and great job satisfaction?

Two Teaching Assistant roles are available to join a wonderful primary school in the heart of Waltham Forest for an Intervention Teaching Assistant position in KS1 & KS2. This is a full-time, long-term role starting ASAP until July 2025, with potential extensions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the inclusion team and class teachers both in and out of the classroom.
  • Lead interventions for a caseload of pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
  • Deliver intervention sessions including Speech & Language carry-over, Maths, Reading, Writing, Pre-Teaching Key Skills, Vocabulary, and Social/Motor skills.

  • Location: Waltham Forest, London
  • Roles: 2 positions (KS1 and KS2)
  • Start: ASAP (October or November 2025 considered)
  • Contract: Long-term until July 2026
  • Hours: Full-time 8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday
  • Salary: £90–£110 per day

Requirements / Qualifications
