I'm working with a leading robotics company in North London to find an experienced Mechatronics Technician for a 6‑month contract. You'll be the hands‑on support that enables senior engineers to focus on complex design challenges – assembling, testing, debugging, and documenting robotic systems as part of an important international project.
- Assembling and building prototype electro‑mechanical robotic systems
- Setting up and running tests on components and systems
- Debugging electronics and capturing data accurately
- Maintaining workshop equipment and development space
- Writing clear documentation for tests and processes
- Supporting senior engineers so they can focus on design and innovation
- Commercial experience as a mechatronics technician or engineer
- Experience testing and debugging electronics
- Competence in soldering, including small wires and electronic components
- Ability to assemble prototype electro‑mechanical systems
- Strong documentation skills
- A structured approach to problem‑solving and data recording
- Based in London and able to work in the office 5 days a week
Nice to have: PCB rework/surface mount experience, Linux command line, scripting/automation, MCAD/ECAD tools
- Work with genuinely innovative robotics hardware every day
