We are currently looking to recruit a full‑time enthusiastic and motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join the Peterborough Community Rehabilitation Team based at Botolph Bridge Community Health Centre, Valley Park Centre, Sugar Way, Peterborough, PE2 9QB. The role is suitable for an experienced OT.

This role is based in Peterborough and the surrounding area. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team providing high quality rehabilitation to patients with physical disabilities in their home environment.

Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs. • Assess, plan and develop specialist occupational therapist programmes for patients with a wide variety of complex needs.
• Manage own caseload, prioritise referrals according to clinical need, signpost appropriately and undertake assessment of patients with complex and multiple pathologies using specialist clinical reasoning skills.
• Supervise junior staff and students, oversee patient intervention and ensure that Senior Therapy Assistants and Therapy Assistants deliver high quality patient care.
• Be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your own and delegated work.
• Work within codes of practice and professional guidelines.
• Undertake holistic assessment (including those with complex presentations and multi‑pathologies) making use of clinical reasoning skills.
• Use evidence‑based practice to ensure clinical care is effective and appropriate.
• Promote independence and, wherever possible, avoid hospital admission and reduce inpatient length of stay to ensure those patients receive the appropriate care in the most appropriate setting.
• Organise and manage own time, delegating work appropriately.
• Contribute to risk assessments and health and safety assessments and immediately report any changes or newly identified risks.
• Demonstrate the importance of gaining patient and carer consent in all interventions.
• Ensure that accurate and timely written records are kept which comply with the Trust policy and HCPC guidance, reporting on any issues as appropriate.

• Full UK driving licence and use of a vehicle; travel independently around the county.
• Ability to work autonomously as a practitioner within the Community Rehabilitation team.
• Strong clinical reasoning and evidence‑based practice skills.
• Commitment to high standards of patient care and appropriate record keeping.
