Job summary

A top construction recruitment firm in the UK is seeking a Building Services Manager for a laboratory project in Bristol. This 12-month+ contract role involves delivering MEP services, managing installations, and overseeing sub-contractors. Candidates should have over 5 years of experience in MEP contracting, preferably with a mechanical background. Strong knowledge of laboratory or data centre projects will be advantageous. Competitive daily pay of approximately £550 CIS is offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in MEP contracting or as a Building Services Manager.
• Mechanical background preferred with understanding of Mechanical and Electrical services.
• Experience with laboratory or data centre projects is advantageous.

Building Services Manager – Bristol – c£550 a day CIS – tier 1 Main Contractor – labs project – 12 month+ contract

Working for a tier 1 main contractor specialising in providing construction, services and property management expertise in building and civil engineering, property development, industrial and critical systems sectors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver MEP services on a laboratory project on the outskirts of Bristol.
• Co‑ordinate and manage MEP services installations as part of a team, reporting to the Lead MEP Manager.
• Monitor the progress of on‑site MEP sub‑contractors.
• Produce and implement commissioning, testing, inspection and handover documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum HND in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of experience within the MEP contracting arena (tier 1 M&E sub‑contractor or Building Services Manager in a main contracting environment).
• Mechanical background preferred; good understanding of Mechanical and Electrical services advantageous.
• Experience with laboratory or data centre projects advantageous.
• Understanding of MEP design coordination and critical systems arena (hospitals, laboratories, data centres).
