Job description

M&G Life covers over 5 million customers with more than 300 bn invested across all of its products and wrappers and has an ambitious growth plan for 2025 and beyond. M&G Life operations work with a number of partners including Equiniti, Diligenta, Waystone, Paragon, Willis Towers Watson as well as M&G Global Services supporting our in‑house operation. Supports the Commercial Portfolio Director in tracking and analysing the commercial performance of the transformation portfolio. Involves business case support, metric monitoring and data‑driven decision‑making to ensure commercial viability and strategic alignment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with business case development and review for new initiatives and product launches
  • Support commercial performance reporting across products
  • Monitor key metrics: flows, AUM, cost‑to‑serve, persistency, customer lifetime value
  • Help build and maintain a data ecosystem for real‑time insights
  • Contribute to investment prioritisation and benchmarking
  • Collaborate with Finance, Tech, Risk, Compliance, Product teams
  • Prepare insights and materials for portfolio alignment meetings
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Understanding of financial / commercial analysis and performance metrics
  • Familiarity with financial services (ideally life & pensions)
  • Proficient in Excel and data tools; visualisation tools a must
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic team environment, Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, Economics or related
  • Progress towards CFA Level I, CIMA, ACCA is a plus
  • Training in data analysis, financial modelling or project support beneficial; proactive and adaptable with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Takes ownership of tasks and outcomes
  • Applies critical thinking and data interpretation
  • Collaborative team player with a growth mindset
