PwC Channel Islands Overview
PwC is a highly dynamic professional services firm offering Advisory, Tax, Audit and other assurance services to a large portfolio of international and local clients. The Channel Islands firm employs 600+ staff in offices across Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney and is part of an international network of 151 PwC firms employing over 364,000 staff.
If you're taking a four-year degree course which has a sandwich element to it, a business placement at PwC CI is the perfect way to gain valuable industry experience during your penultimate year at university.
Our training programme is underpinned by a development framework that broadens and deepens your knowledge. You'll learn from hands-on coaching and an outstanding variety of work, picking up business, personal and technical skills you can use across the network, and throughout your career.
We are looking for ambitious, creative thinkers, who want to get their career off to a great start, working in an environment that will challenge and reward you as you progress.
You’ll be providing market leading audit services to an unprecedented range of clients. Our clients range from leading multinational companies to start-ups, from family businesses and governments and private individuals. Within financial services our clients cover industries such as banking and capital markets, private equity, real estate, insurance, and consumer finance. Our audit helps organisations navigate regulatory complexity while strengthening trust and transparency in their business.
Our business placement students will be offered the opportunity to study towards their professional Chartered Accounting qualification with the advantage of the work experience counting towards the time experience requirement. You’ll have a lot of support from your team, career coach and buddy to help you achieve this. Business placement students who return to PwC CI after graduating will recommence their training contract from where they left off.
Depending on your client’s needs, your time will be split between working at client premises, working in the office and studying for your professional exams. We trust our people to be where our clients need them to be, working together with our colleagues in person as often as needed. Some travel is possible for work and you should expect there to be busy times of the year.
Our Business Placements are available only to students on four-year degree programmes that feature a sandwich placement element.
The subject of your studies is not relevant but you need to have achieved 96 UCAS points and be on track for at least a 2.1 result in your degree.
Due to immigration restrictions in Jersey and Guernsey the Channel Islands firm is unable to consider trainee candidates who require work permits.
To avoid disappointment, we recommend applying as early as you can as applications for this role may close early should we receive a high volume of interest.
All our people need to demonstrate the skills and behaviours that support us in delivering our business strategy. This is important to the work we do for our business, and our clients. These skills and behaviours make up our global leadership framework, Evolved PwC Professional.
