A prominent healthcare organization seeks a Senior Community Mental Health Nurse to provide high-quality care within a collaborative team. Location: Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust, Furness CMHT, Barrow‑in‑Furness.
This post is designated for a Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse. This is a permanent, full‑time position (37.5 hours per week).
Furness CMHT provides services to the population of Furness and is based in Barrow‑in‑Furness. The team is well‑established and known for its friendly, supportive culture. It benefits from a visible and approachable leadership team committed to clinical supervision and ongoing professional development.
This is a challenging and rewarding role within a busy service. Applicants should have current or previous experience working in a mental health setting. You will need to demonstrate clinical confidence in supporting individuals with complex needs and the ability to work effectively within a multi‑professional team. We are looking for someone with a collaborative, enthusiastic approach and a genuine passion for promoting recovery‑focused care for adults with severe and enduring mental health conditions.
The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work with flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive mindset.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake leadership responsibilities, including supporting the learning and development of junior team members.

The service is based at Duddon House, Fairfield Lane, Barrow‑in‑Furness, Cumbria, LA13 9AZ, and operates between 9:00am and 5:00pm.
