A reputable engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Highways Inspector to conduct routine inspections and manage issues in Central London. The role requires proficiency in the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and using Confirm software. Ideal candidates will have a proactive approach and the ability to work independently. This is a short-term role with a shift-based working pattern.
Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role with the ability to hit the ground running.
- Strong understanding of the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA).
- Proficient in using Confirm software.
- Proactive, independent decision-maker who requires minimal training.
Responsabilités
- Complete routine inspections of highways, footways, and street furniture.
- Identify and report defects or issues for timely resolution.
- Assess reported faults on council-managed and privately-owned assets.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on highways and street works.
Connaissances
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Highways Inspector to join their team on a short-term secondment. This role is critical in ensuring statutory duties are met by carrying out routine inspections and responding promptly to reported issues across the borough.
- Complete routine inspections of highways, footways, street furniture, and other highway assets at required intervals.
- Identify and report defects or issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Attend sites to assess reported faults on council-managed and privately-owned assets.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on highways and street works to colleagues, supporting risk identification and decision-making.
- Experience in a similar role with the ability to hit the ground running.
- Strong understanding of the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA).
- Proficiency in using Confirm software.
- Proactive, independent decision-maker who requires minimal training.
- Contract Type: 3-Month Secondment
- Working Pattern: Shift-based (07:00 - 15:30 and 09:30 - 18:00)
- Location: Central London
