ROLE: Quality Inspector

LOCATION: High Wycombe

SALARY: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of product quality and compliance. The successful candidate will not only carry out inspections but also play a key part in supporting quality documentation and record-keeping activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming goods, in-process materials, and finished products against established standards and specifications.
• Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
• Document inspection findings accurately and maintain clear records in line with quality management procedures.
• Support the preparation, organisation, and updating of quality-related documentation.
• Assist with compiling data and reports for audits, customer requirements, and compliance activities.
• Highlight non-conformities and support corrective actions through documentation and follow-up.
• Work closely with production, warehouse, and engineering teams to ensure effective communication of quality standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the development of best practices.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a quality inspection or quality control role.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage documentation effectively.
• Competence in using precision measuring tools and equipment.
• High attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• IT literacy for data entry, reporting, and document control.

Desirable

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
• Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or distribution environments.
• Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
