National salary: circa £52,000
London salary: circa £62,000
We have a great opportunity for someone to work across our Group CIO (Chief Information Officer) functions and CIO markets, supporting them in the management of their risk and control environment.
At Aviva we manage our risks to help proactively identify and control threats and vulnerabilities that could adversely impact the organisation and our customers, and the role that we have within the CIO Risk & Assurance team is crucial in supporting this.

A bit about the job:
You will be part of the CIO Risk & Assurance team, supporting the review of the IT and Cyber risk and control environment to protect our customers and deliver our Risk Goals. We provide 1st line support, oversight and challenge across our CIO markets and Group CIO functions.
You will Lead Market/Functional SME input, guidance, and challenge to ensure compliance with the internal control framework, and quality application of it; whilst building the understanding of IT and Cyber, risk and controls and support (leading where required) risk and control debate and assessment/testing (including reporting and forward view) with functional SLTs (Senior Leadership Teams).
You will use insight, data and SME opinion to effectively challenge risk assessments, control positions, issue and action remediation, and risk events and conduct thorough testing of technical IT and Business Protection controls to demonstrate design adequacy and operational effectiveness of mandatory controls in our organisation.
As part of the role, you will develop strong relationships with all levels of stakeholders including the SLT, and risk, control and issue owners to provide regular coaching on internal control framework best practice, to ensure consistency and correct application and provide inputs and reporting into central forums and Group CIO functions and CIO market forms where required.
