Are you an experienced DT Technician or have a passion for Design & Technology? I have a Secondary School in the Lewisham area looking to appoint a DT Technician on a permanent basis starting September 2025. This is a great opportunity for someone with practical skills and a passion for supporting hands-on learning in a school environment.

You will work closely with teaching staff to support the delivery of DT lessons across areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, and Graphics, ensuring that equipment, tools, and materials are prepared, maintained, and safely used by students.

1. Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for DT lessons
2. Maintain, clean, and organise machinery and tools (e.g., saws, drills, 3D printers)
3. Assist in lessons, including demonstrations of tool use and safety
4. Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed, including risk assessments and COSHH compliance
5. Be confident using hand tools and machinery (training can be provided)
6. Be well-organised, safety-conscious, and proactive
7. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
8. Supportive and creative Design & Technology department
9. Well-equipped workshop with up-to-date tools and technology
10. Excellent transport links
