Senior MEP Design Manager – Data Centres (Client-Side)

Our client, a leading global data centre developer and operator, is seeking a Senior MEP Design Manager to join their London team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-impact, client-side role delivering hyperscale and colocation facilities across the UK and Europe.

The Role:

As Senior MEP Design Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of mechanical, electrical, and public health design from concept through to completion. Working closely with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders, you’ll ensure design excellence, innovation, and compliance with performance and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead MEP design coordination across multidisciplinary teams
• Oversee design consultants and review technical submissions
• Drive value engineering and lifecycle performance strategies
• Ensure alignment with operational, commissioning, and maintenance needs
• Manage design risk, programme interfaces, and change control

About You:

• Degree qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in MEP design management, ideally with data centre or mission critical experience
• Deep understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in large-scale infrastructure
• Proven ability to lead design through RIBA stages and deliver in a client-side environment
• Excellent communicator with commercial awareness and technical rigour
