Job description

As an Innovation and Nutrition Expert on a 12-month maternity cover, you’ll lead science-driven projects that influence our diverse product portfolio—from early-stage innovation to collaborating with internal teams and external partners on cutting‑edge nutrition initiatives. This full‑time role is based at our Media City office in Salford with a flexible hybrid model, including occasional travel to European locations.

You’ll work as part of a small, dynamic team reporting to the Innovation & Scientific Affairs Senior Manager, playing a key role in our European R&D hub. Your expertise will guide the delivery of our Portfolio and Nutrition roadmaps, ensuring we continue to innovate and grow.   • Empower through knowledge – Build and share nutrition science expertise to empower employees, especially our commercial teams and R&D community.
  • Turn insights into action – Translate scientific findings into competitive, nutritious solutions that drive business strategy and unlock opportunities.
  • Support innovation and growth – Contribute to Front‑End Innovation projects and assist in shaping the portfolio’s nutrition strategy to help drive business success.
  • Collaborate externally – Work with Key Opinion Leaders, suppliers, and other stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and support business development.
We’re Looking for Someone With
  • A master’s degree in nutrition, Public Health, Science, Food Science, or equivalent.
  • Experience in the FMCG industry and a passion for food innovation.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as
  • collaboratively.
  • Skill in translating complex scientific concepts into clear, stakeholder‑friendly information.
  • Ability to critically analyze scientific data and draw actionable conclusions.
  • Experience working with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
