BIM Manager – Pharmaceutical – Surrey

Our client is a large and well-established MEP Sub‑Contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major Mechanical & Electrical Packages on behalf of Tier 1 main contractors involved in technology schemes including Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, Semi‑Conductor plants and heavy industrial projects.

Due to continued growth in the region of their pharmaceutical division, our client is now seeking an experienced BIM Manager to join their team based on a Pharmaceutical build in Surrey.

Responsibilities
  • Lead BIM Coordination for MEP Design : Manage and coordinate BIM workflows across all mechanical, electrical, and public health systems, ensuring models are fully aligned with project design requirements and pharmaceutical cleanroom standards.
  • Develop and Maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) : Create, update, and enforce project‑specific BEPs, modelling guidelines, and quality control processes to support consistent and compliant model development.
  • Oversee Clash Detection & Issue Resolution : Conduct regular model audits and clash detection sessions, working closely with design consultants and internal engineering teams to resolve conflicts and ensure smooth integration of all MEP elements.
  • Support Digital Delivery & Documentation : Ensure accurate model outputs for coordination, fabrication, and installation, including drawings, schedules, and asset data. Manage model version control and ensure documentation is aligned with client requirements.
  • Collaborate with Project Stakeholders : Work closely with designers, project managers, planners, and site teams to provide BIM support throughout design, preconstruction, and construction stages, contributing to efficient project delivery and high‑quality installation.
Requirements
  • Must have 8+ years experience in a similar role (preferably on cleanroom construction projects)
  • Must be based within a commutable distance of Surrey
  • Must have relevant qualification in Building Services Engineering, BIM / Digital Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
