IT Project Manager- Third Sector

VANRATH are delighted to be recruiting for an IT Project Manager for our third sector client based in Belfast. This Project Manager role will run initially for 6 months (with possibility of extension) and needs an experienced candidate with demonstrable track record of day-to-day management and functionality of organisational ICT and telephony systems and advising on the development of ICT systems and solutions for all services.

This is an immediate requirement, and the successful candidate will be available to start asap.

Project: Development and implementation of the ICT strategy, plans and policies and disseminate to the ICT team

Remuneration:

£43,684 - £47,512, plus holiday pay, pension.

Responsibilities

• Prepare business cases and project documents for ICT infrastructure projects
• Lead the technical aspects of ICT projects, providing technical expertise and support for non-ICT projects and changes were appropriate.
• Identify and take actions to manage ICT related risks.
• Design and implement short and long term plans to ensure ICT infrastructure meets existing and future capacity and capacity requirements.
• Develop, implement, manage and maintain the ICT infrastructure via third party providers including server and network configuration, security, accessibility, connectivity, and backup.
• Maintain a Hardware Asset Register detailing ICT equipment used and keep up to date for audit and insurance purposes. Ensure a register of software licences is also maintained.
• Develop procedures and associated implementation, testing and training plans for infrastructure administration, security and data management.

The Ideal Person:

• Relevant IT or Business related third level qualification with technical components.
• At least two years' experience of managing the performance of a team
• Experience of taking lead responsibility for managing multiple IT contracts

• Three years' recent, proven experience of achieving results in an ICT Technical environment to include:

  Cloud Server Management, Management Reporting, Cyber Security, Project Management.
• Valid driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle to undertake the duties of the post in full.
• Relevant degree or membership of a relevant professional bod
• Three years' management experience in an ICT environment which supports an organisation of more than 100 staff.
• Experience of managing significant projects.
• Experience of working within the third sector
