£46,142 - £51,356 per annum | Fixed Term 12 month contract, Full Time, 37 hours per week | Preston

Are you ready to play a critical role in delivering Lancashire County Council’s strategic change portfolio? We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our Transformation and Improvement Service, helping to make Lancashire the best place to live, work, visit, and prosper.

As a Project Manager, you will:

  • Take ownership of complex projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are set up for success.
  • Work closely with Senior Responsible Owners (SROs) to deliver projects right—on time, within budget, and to agreed standards.
  • Develop governance frameworks, manage risks, and maintain project integrity.
  • Coordinate stakeholders and suppliers, navigating dependencies and critical stage gates.
  • Champion new initiatives and contribute to the development of our Project Portfolio Management Office (PPMO).

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong organisational and project management skills with experience delivering large or multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a complex organisation.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) and business change approaches.
  • Ability to manage budgets, resources, and risks while maintaining focus on quality and value for money.
