Job summary
A reputable fruit production company in Salford Priors is seeking Machine Operators to manage the efficient operation of production machines. The ideal candidates will have experience in packhouse production, strong communication skills, and the ability to effectively train team members to meet key performance indicators. This position offers a fixed term for 6 months with the possibility of becoming permanent.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills in a multilingual environment.

- Ensure efficient daily operation of machines.

Skills
Contract: Fixed term for 6 monthswith the possibility to become permanent
Hours: Guaranteed minimum of 32 hours over 4 days

About the role
We are recruiting for Machine Operators to ensure efficient daily operation of machines including Pro Seal, BBC Blueberry Grader, Unitec Grader and the Robots on our production lines to pack soft fruit such as strawberries, blueberries and raspberries according to customer specification. The postholder will also be required to work closely with the maintenance team to ensure any maintenance issues cause minimum disruption, responsible for smooth tool changeovers and setting up packaging materials. In addition, the postholder will ensure their team members are trained appropriately and will be suitably motivated to meet KPIs.
About you
You will have proven experience of packhouse production and be able to develop and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships. With the ability to prioritise own and others’ workload, effective verbal and written communication skills in a multilingual environment, you will also be a team player.
