Job summary
A leading logistics company is seeking a Transport Planner for their Manchester depot. This role will focus on planning collections and deliveries while optimising vehicle schedules. Ideal candidates should possess knowledge of UK geography and logistics operations. The position offers a salary of £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience, full‑time hours from 08:00 to 17:00, and a range of benefits including 28 days holiday, pension scheme, and free parking.

Responsibilities
- Organise and plan collections and deliveries, optimising vehicle and driver schedules to meet operational targets.
- Schedule vehicles for maintenance and ensure compliance with company service standards.
- Monitor drivers' progress to ensure timely completion of collections and deliveries.
- Support drivers in resolving on‑road issues and liaise with customers when necessary.
- Maintain compliance with all transport legislation and Working Time Directive regulations.
- Assist with administrative tasks including order entry, data management, and reporting.
