We are excited to offer the opportunity for an enthusiastic, positive and dynamic qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our vibrant and diverse school. Pupils are happy and safe, with trusted adults who can be approached about any worries. Relationships between pupils and staff are warm and positive.

This part‑time (0.5/0.6) position is for a 1‑year fixed term covering term time only, with a start date of February 2026 or as soon as possible. It involves working with pupils aged 3‑11, many of whom are bilingual, and addressing complex speech, language and communication needs.

• Deliver group and 1:1 interventions for pupils with a range of speech, language, and communication needs.
• Carry out comprehensive assessments and review assessments, including report writing.
• Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) review meetings by setting SMART targets.
• Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to create a communication‑friendly learning environment.
• Provide direct and indirect support to groups of pupils, including vocabulary programmes delivered in the classroom and subject‑specific language support.
• Deliver training and workshops to staff and parents.

• A recognised professional degree qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Extensive and relevant experience post‑registration.
• HCPC and RCSLT membership.
• Well‑established knowledge of developmental speech and language disorders and communication disorders associated with complex conditions and emotional/behavioural disorders.
• Experience working in an educational setting with young people with social communication disorders (desirable).
