Clinical Lead – Speech and Language Therapy

A vacancy at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. This permanent full‑time post works across several inpatient secure mental health hospitals and the West Midlands Youth First Community Child and Adolescent Forensic Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment, planning and implementing evidence‑based practice.
  • Reviewing and evaluating therapy using therapy outcome measures.
  • Providing advice to other professionals regarding the management of clients with communication needs.
  • Modifying materials.
  • Attending and contributing to clinical team meetings.
  • Report writing and completing administrative tasks relevant to the role.

  • Genuine interest in working with young people and adults who present with complex mental health and communication needs.
  • Self‑awareness, reflection, compassion and commitment.
  • Effective communication, good organisation and time‑management skills.
