Currently, we are seeking a dedicated Nurture Teacher to join a well-established Academy-SEND in Dorking, Surrey. As a Contract Nurture Teacher, you will work within a supportive team to implement tailored educational programmes for pupils with Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Your role will involve creating a nurturing classroom environment that encourages social and emotional development, supporting learners to thrive both academically and personally.

• Plan and deliver personalised learning activities tailored to SEMH pupils needs
• Foster a safe, caring, and supportive classroom environment
• Work closely with school staff and external professionals to support pupils well‑being and progress
• Monitor and record pupil development and behaviour, ensuring high standards of pastoral support
• Promote positive behavioural and social skills, encouraging pupils confidence and independence

We are seeking a qualified teacher with QTS or QTLS status who has demonstrable experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will possess a nurturing approach, strong behavioural management skills, and a genuine commitment to supporting pupils' emotional development.

This Academy-SEND setting employs between 36 and 65 staff and specialises in providing educational support tailored to students with SEND, particularly SEMH needs. They are dedicated to creating a compassionate and empowering environment where learners can develop resilience, confidence, and independence.
