Requirements
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Valid SIA licence, Door Supervisor or Security Guarding.
  • Cash in transit licence desirable; training provided if not held.
  • Own vehicle.
Contract Information

Pay Rate: £14.87 per hour rising to £15.47 after 12 months (plus night allowance if applicable)

Hours per week: 39 hours

Shift pattern: Monday – Sunday, 06:00 – 18:00. You will work any 4 or 5 days out of 7.

Your Time at Work

You will join a team of specialist Delivery Drivers and be responsible for making scheduled deliveries and collections, within specified time windows, ensuring all work is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with your trip sheet.

It’s important that you maintain good, safe and courteous driving behaviour and present a professional appearance by always wearing the company uniform and the relevant safety equipment provided, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities
  • Carry out vehicle checks and report any security and/or mechanical defects and follow procedures properly in the event of an emergency or a criminal attack.
  • Check consignments and ensure accuracy and efficient loading/unloading at branches and other secure areas.
  • Undertake training to develop, learn and progress.
  • Undertake other duties that may reasonably be assigned to you by your line manager or the business.
Qualifications and Attributes
  • Hold a valid UK driver’s licence and be confident when communicating with customers and colleagues in both written and spoken English.
  • Appropriate level of numeracy, adept following procedures and instructions, able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Previous experience in a driving role beneficial but not essential; experience using IT and computer systems is desired.
  • Continuously focused on providing a top‑notch service to customers, being efficient, flexible and at all times security conscious.
  • Physically fit; role involves lifting and transporting heavy items. Subject to medical review.
