Job summary
A recruitment agency in Barnsley is seeking a Part-Time Children’s Social Worker for the MASH/Screening Team. The role involves 22.5 hours per week with hybrid work arrangements. Candidates must hold a DIPSW or equivalent qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and have an enhanced DBS certificate. Prior experience with Integrated Front Door/MASH is essential. Competitive referral bonuses are offered.

Part-Time Children’s Social Worker – Team: MASH/Screening Team, Location: Barnsley. Rate: £35. Details: 22.5 hours per week, hybrid working arrangements (currently 2 days in the office and 1 day WFH each week). The post is to cover maternity leave and is due to end June 2026.

- DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work

- Excellent communication skills and ability to make good decisions based on available information
- Ability to work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency setups
- Knowledge of service needs
- Competent IT skills and ability to navigate electronic file/recording systems
- Ability to write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files
- Flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
- Candidates must have prior experience with Integrated Front Door/MASH to be put forward
- Prior experience of working within a sign of safety framework and using Mosaic is preferred
