Position Overview

As our Sixth Form Coordinator, you will:

  • Assist with new student induction
  • Participate and facilitate in designated open evenings and parent evenings
  • Provide data for parents regarding student progress, achievements, and concerns according to academy policy and procedures
  • Develop extra-curricular and community activities within the designated year structure
  • Encourage student participation in house and academy events
  • Support the pastoral wellbeing of all students in the Sixth Form
  • Receive visitors, speakers and prospective students and organise tours for prospective students
  • Alongside the Heads of Year, support the organisation of the Work Experience programme
  • Consult with the Examinations Officer regarding the organisation of examinations and dissemination of examination entry information
  • Contribute to the Sixth Form area on the school website and improve social media presence for Sixth Form

Key Qualifications & Experience
  • At least two years' experience working with young people in an educational, training, or social work setting and providing support for their learning, achievement and wellbeing
  • Educated to GCSE level / NVQ‑level 2 or equivalent, including English and Maths
  • A strong record and evidence of continuous professional development
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills
  • Someone who is committed to supporting students to ensure they flourish in their learning
