About the role:

About the Role

Systems Growth & Compliance Officer to join London South East Academies Trust. This pivotal role focuses on the development and management of our People Information Systems (PIS), ensuring they align with operational and strategic objectives while maintaining compliance with statutory and safeguarding standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation, development, and optimisation of People Information Systems to support Trust-wide operations.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with safeguarding and statutory requirements, including oversight of the Single Central Record (SCR) and safer recruitment processes.
  • Provide actionable data insights to senior leadership, analysing key metrics such as workforce trends, turnover, and diversity.
  • Act as the Trust’s primary contact for data governance and GDPR compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including MIS and IT, to enhance system functionalities and data integrity.
  • Deliver training to stakeholders on system usage and compliance standards, promoting a culture of self‑service and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in compliance, people operations, or HR systems management, ideally within the education sector or a multi‑academy trust.
  • Advanced knowledge of data management tools, including expertise in platforms such as iTrent and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management skills.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, with a professional and approachable demeanour.
  • A commitment to personal development and alignment with the Trust’s safeguarding and equality values.
Qualifications
  • Educated to a good general level (minimum Level 2/GCSE A-C in English and Maths or equivalent).
  • Degree‑level qualification in a relevant field is desirable.
