Elevation Recruitment are excited to be exclusively supporting a bespoke manufacturer of leisure equipment who are looking for a proactive and experienced Head of Manufacturing to oversee their factory operations. Working across fibreglass moulding, finishing, and assembly, you’ll play a key role in ensuring products are delivered on time, to spec, and with a strong focus on continuous improvement, safety and quality.
This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone with a background in project based, bespoke / custom / made‑to‑order production and a solid track record of managing teams and improving processes on the shop floor.
- Accountability for all of the Production based Operations and Supervisors, and their actions
- Ensuring all orders are delivered in time, in full, and against the expected quality standards
- Monitor production output and implement improvements to reduce waste, downtime, and reworkEnsure adherence to health & safety procedures, with a particular focus on resin handling, ventilation, PPE, and COSHH regulations
- Drive quality control throughout the process, working to maintain high product standards
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and dispatch to ensure smooth workflow and timely deliveries
- Maintain accurate production records and reporting of KPIs
- Develop and drive the rollout of a continuous improvement culture, ensuring Operators think proactively to solve problems
- Train and develop staff and drive a safety first culture
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to drive performance and a positive team culture
- Solid understanding of and experience implementing lean manufacturing methodologies, with qualifications (Six Sigma) enhancing your application
- Familiarity with made-to-order, custom, bespoke manufacturing processes
- Examples of driving culture/mindset change in manufacturing facility
- Exposure to customers within the manufacturing/operations role
