A leading UK healthcare provider in Leeds is offering a Senior Clinical Fellow role in the Paediatric Emergency Department. The position involves direct patient care, teaching, and research opportunities in a vibrant environment. Candidates should possess an MBBS or equivalent, along with substantial clinical experience. This role provides a unique chance to contribute to a high-volume tertiary care unit.
The Paediatric Emergency Department Senior Clinical Fellow (PEM SCF) role at the Leeds General Infirmary (LGI), situated in the heart of Leeds, offers an exciting opportunity to work in a busy tertiary paediatric specialist centre. The PED sees approximately 45,000 new attendances each year, ranging from simple minor injuries to complex medical and trauma patients.
The role is supported by an allocated PEM Consultant who works in the department from 9 am to midnight each day, a dedicated paediatric nursing team and a variety of training doctors and Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs), providing significant opportunities for PEM‑specific training and development.
Clinical work 60% – direct patient care in the Paediatric Emergency Department.
Non‑clinical work 40% – teaching, research, simulation training and curriculum development.
