With a strong focus on quality and efficiency, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, detail-oriented manufacturing setting.
- Produce bespoke tooling components using traditional machining methods
- Operate manual mills, lathes, and surface grinders with a focus on accuracy and safety
- Assemble and finish tooling using hand tools and polishing equipment
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Conduct quality checks using precision instruments and coordinate measuring machines
- Maintain a tidy and organised work area in line with company standards
- Collaborate with supervisors to meet production targets and support continuous improvement
- Take ownership of tasks and contribute to a safe working environment
- Toolmaker with hands-on experience in a workshop or manufacturing setting
- Proficient in manual machining and hand-finishing techniques
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and tolerances
- Skilled in using inspection tools including micrometers, gauges, and CMM systems
