The Community Services Director is seeking an individual to perform highly skilled mechanical work in the repair and maintenance of gasoline and diesel powered vehicles and heavy equipment.
This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position offering a full-time benefits package. Starting salary is commensurate with experience. The position is open until filled.
(Except as specifically noted, the following functions are considered essential to this position. The listed examples may not include all duties found in this class):
Thorough knowledge of maintenance and repair practices for heavy-duty gasoline and diesel engines/equipment, including SCR/DPF systems, wiring systems, high-pressure fuel systems, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and welding/metal fabrication. Skilled in using mechanic's tools and equipment. Ability to follow detailed instructions, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, advise operators, maintain computerized work systems, and perform strenuous physical labor indoors and outdoors under varying conditions.
High School diploma or equivalent. Seven (7) years’ experience in heavy-duty engine and equipment repair. Extensive training in SCR/DPF emissions systems, welding, electrical, and fuel systems. Valid CDL-B license with air brake and tanker endorsements. ASE Light/Heavy certification, NH Vehicle Inspection licenses, and Diesel aftertreatment certification.
