Job summary
A leading energy solutions provider in the UK is looking for a Mechanical Design Authority to drive engineering quality in Generator projects. The role demands significant experience in mechanical design and compliance with safety regulations. Ideal candidates will hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering and possess Chartered Engineer status, showcasing their expertise. You will develop technical packages, support project execution, and liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes. This role may require travel throughout the UK and Europe.
Qualifications
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working toward chartership preferred.
- Significant experience in mechanical design and technical authority roles within generator systems.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant BS, EN, ISO standards.
- Proven experience approving mechanical designs and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation of technical packages for projects.
- Lead mechanical engineering designs for projects and proposals.
- Drive high standards of engineering quality and compliance.
- Provide senior technical support to project and commercial teams.
- Produce and review engineering deliverables including specifications and test documentation.
