A major civil engineering company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee drainage and civil engineering works on HS2 in Aylesbury. You will be responsible for managing budgets, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and leading operational teams. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering, substantial project management experience, and excellent communication skills. We have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our team delivering drainage and civil engineering works on HS2 in Aylesbury. You'll be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.
You’ll lead operational teams, manage budgets and programmes, and ensure that all aspects of the project - from drainage installation to temporary works - are executed effectively. You’ll play a key part in enabling safe, timely, and high-quality delivery, while maintaining excellent client relationships and promoting a strong safety culture on site.
You have a strong background in civil engineering and drainage or utilities projects, with substantial experience managing people, budgets, and complex construction programmes. You’ll be confident in making decisions on temporary works, lifting operations, and CDM compliance.
You’ll hold a degree or equivalent experience, and ideally have IOSH, ILM Level 3, or formal CDM training. Full NRSWA qualifications, Temporary Works training, and experience with NEC contracts would be highly advantageous.
Strong planning, organisation, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities, lead by example, and build positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. A full UK driving licence is essential.
