Maintenance Engineer jobs in France

We are seeking experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join our growing Engineering team. This individual will provide electrical and instrumentation repair and maintenance services, operating the Electrical Generation Plant, Peaking Generators, Steam Raising Plant, and Water Treatment Plant efficiently and safely. They will monitor plant conditions and keep operating costs to a minimum.

1. Operate daily functions of Boilers, Gas Turbines (CHP plants), and Reverse Osmosis skids.
2. Monitor boiler and water treatment plant operations, adjusting settings as needed.
3. Oversee the combustion process of process gas, adjusting fuel mixes to meet steam and process gas availability requirements, coordinating with Production on steam and electricity needs.
4. Coordinate with Engineering and Production teams regarding maintenance and breakdowns.
5. Perform planned, predictive, and reactive electrical maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
6. Diagnose faults, test, calibrate, install, and commission process instrumentation.
7. Isolate electrical plant according to permit to work procedures.
8. Identify faults and implement rectification solutions.
9. Install and commission new and repaired machinery and equipment.
10. Adhere to safety procedures and trade practices during all work activities.
11. Operate HV switching and operations (training provided).

1. Recognized electrical/C&I engineering apprenticeship, ideally in a heavy process industry.
2. Higher National Certificate (HNC) in electrical/automation discipline or relevant experience.
3. Proven competency in electrical safety, isolation procedures, and safe panel entry.
4. Understanding of electrical installation schematics and requirements.
5. Experience in electrical and instrumentation fault diagnosis and repairs.
6. Experience in instrumentation maintenance.
7. HV switching and operations experience or willingness to learn (training provided).
8. Experience operating CHP plants or willingness to learn (training provided).
9. Ability to work independently and organize team tasks as needed.
10. Hands-on approach with a focus on job completion.
11. Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing priorities.
