Job summary

A well-established manufacturing company in Birchanger is searching for a Maintenance Engineer. Maintenance Engineer

Shift

Mon-Fri Double Days (5:30am-2pm, 1:30pm-10pm)

Salary

Up to £40,000 (O.T. 1.5 + 2.0)

The Company

Our client is a well-backed, established manufacturing and production company who pride themselves on sustainability, responsible ingredient sourcing and resourceful packaging! They supply their services to the largest UK retailers, and have the backing of a massive multi-national, sustainable chemical company. This company has recently invested just under £10 million in Training and Continuous Improvement projects for you to get working on straight away. They are looking for another Maintenance Engineer to establish themselves, immerse into the fantastic work culture and make an impact!

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Fault finding electrically, working with sensors, encoders, camera systems, speed drives, control panels etc.
  • Work mechanically on rollers, gearboxes, bearings, conveyor belts, chains etc.
  • Working on conveyors, sealing machines, cappers, filling machines etc.
  • Operating as a team to confidently perform reactive and planned maintenance
  • Work on PLCs such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, OMRON, Mitsubishi etc.
About You

The ideal Maintenance Engineer will have the following:

  • A driver's licence
  • A recognised engineering qualification
  • Experience with PLCs
  • A sound understanding of key mechanical and electrical components
