Are you an experienced RVN ready to take your first step into leadership? Do you thrive in a close-knit team with a family feel and want to make a genuine impact on clinical excellence and team development?

Brackenbury is seeking a Lead RVN to join our friendly and well-established practice in West London. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who’s passionate about patient care and mentoring others, looking to take that next step in their nursing career with full support and development from a highly experienced regional network.

About the Role
This is a permanent, full-time position. The working hours are:
• Monday to Thursday: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm
• Friday: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
• No weekends!
• One bank holiday shift per year (at Hampstead branch)
This totals 42 hours per week.

There is no requirement for out-of-hours cover and no reception duties – allowing our nurses to focus on what they do best.

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
• An experienced RVN (minimum 1 year qualified)
• Highly organised and passionate about clinical standards
• Ready to step into a team leadership role or already has some leadership experience
• Interested in supporting junior team members and ideally open to becoming a Clinical Coach in the future

You’ll be working alongside a wonderful team including a very experienced Lead CCA and Lead Vet, and you’ll be fully supported by the senior leadership team in the region. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference and grow within their role.

About the Practice
Brackenbury is a small and close-knit practice with a warm community feel. Located in West London, we benefit from:
• Excellent public transport links
• Close proximity to Westfield Shopping Centre and the West End
• A well-equipped site with a fully equipped theatre, dental suite, excellent imaging facilities including a high-quality ultrasound, and multi-parameter monitoring

One of our proudest features is Peaches , our resident practice cat, who lives on-site. She rules the roost, provides essential cuddles in the staff room, and even has her own Instagram following!

Culture & Support
We pride ourselves on having a genuinely supportive culture:
• Regular CPD and leadership coaching through the Mars Leadership Programme
• Direct support from senior team leaders including Business Support Manager and Lead Vet
• Regular team meetups with other Lead RVNs in the region
• Support for business development and expanding clinical skills
• Social team culture with events, quizzes, and post-work catch-ups

Day-to-Day Duties
The role is predominantly surgical with key responsibilities including:
• Monitoring anaesthesia and theatre duties
• Overseeing the daily running of the clinical areas
• Supporting the wider team with training and clinical coaching (where applicable)
• Running nurse consults (e.g. weight clinics, diabetes management)
• Working collaboratively with the vet and CCA team

You’ll be hands-on with patient care and will have time to focus on your leadership development in a practice that values growth and teamwork.

Next Steps
If you're looking for a Lead RVN position where your voice will be heard, your growth supported, and your day brightened by Peaches the cat, we’d love to hear from you.

  • NO WEEKENDS!!
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Additional paid day off to celebrate your birthday
