A public healthcare organization in Kirkcaldy is seeking HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists. Responsibilities include rotation through various laboratory sections, covering a 24/7 service after training, and a working week averaging 37 hours. Newly graduated candidates will need to complete a Specialist Portfolio for progression. The core laboratory is equipped with Roche cobas 8000 analyzers, 8100 pre‑analytics and track. The special investigations laboratory has Thermo GCMS and has been re‑equipped with Sebia electrophoresis systems.
The department is UKAS accredited and is IBMS approved for Biomedical Scientist training. Active participation in CPD and opportunities for further study are supported and encouraged.
