Qualifications
  • Suitably qualified and experienced HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists.
  • Newly graduated candidates, if successful, will be required to complete their Specialist Portfolio prior to progression to Band 6.
  • Demonstrate team spirit, initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm to train further.

Facilities

The core laboratory is equipped with Roche cobas 8000 analyzers, 8100 pre‑analytics and track. The special investigations laboratory has Thermo GCMS and has been re‑equipped with Sebia electrophoresis systems.

Training and Development

The department is UKAS accredited and is IBMS approved for Biomedical Scientist training. Active participation in CPD and opportunities for further study are supported and encouraged.
