A specialist independent school is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee its kitchen and dining facilities. The role offers a unique 4-Day Working Week model, maintaining full pay for reduced hours. The manager will lead a team, ensuring high-quality meals are prepared while adhering to health and safety standards. This position contributes positively to student wellbeing and encourages healthy eating practices.

Many of our schools have already introduced the 4DWW and others are preparing to roll it out as soon as they reach full staffing. This role is based at Trent Acres School, Kings Bromley.
Job role: Kitchen Manager
Location: Trent Acres, Kings Bromley
Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
Salary: £26,670 per annum (not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

As part of our continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Manager to join our close-knit team at Trent Acres School, Kings Bromley.
We are looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to work within the school to ensure the safe and efficient running of the school's kitchen and dining facility across the two sites (Options Trent Acres and Options Brookfield). You will lead and support the kitchen staff in both sites, produce high quality school lunches within set budget guidelines, and plan varied menus while listening to the student voice and incorporating their ideas. Your work will contribute towards improving pupils’ diets to promote healthy eating and to minimise food wastage by reviewing stock and ordering accordingly. You will comply with and aim to exceed the standards set by the Environmental Health Agency, ensuring a safe and clean kitchen and dining environment for young people, staff and visitors. You will also manage costs to ensure running within budgets and demonstrate strong communication with pupils, staff and visitors.

Options Trent Acres is an outstanding independent specialist school; providing 141 places for pupils aged 5-19. The school operates across two sites in Staffordshire, offering academic and vocational opportunities in rural and college settings.
