A leading fintech company in the UK is looking for a Team Manager in Financial Crime Business Banking. Team Manager, FinCrime Business Banking

Are you interested in leading a team in financial crime prevention? Our Financial Crime Customer Operations team is at the heart of how we protect Monzo and our customers from financial crime like fraud and money laundering. We’re looking for individuals with a blend of experience in preventing financial crime in Business Banking and some exposure to team leadership to join our Financial Crime Operations team as a Financial Crime Business Banking Team Manager.
Your team will consist of around 12 Financial Crime Business Banking Investigators that will complete a number of different business banking tasks. You will lead a team of investigators and be in a position to answer all of their escalations as well as complete quality control.
As a Team Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the personal and professional development of your team members, providing technical coaching on financial crime business banking tasks, driving exceptional individual and collective performance, guiding individuals through hard times, and celebrating their successes.
You’ll hold weekly performance and team meetings with your team to ensure everyone is informed, engaged, and performing in their role. You’ll also be responsible to undertake reviews of work completed and provide timely feedback ensuring the work is completed to the highest standard and the right amount is being worked with the hours available so deep knowledge on these Financial Crime Business Banking tasks is a requirement. You will also need to be comfortable having difficult conversations, addressing challenging situations should these arise.
Team Managers are also heavily involved in our hiring processes, and regularly act as interviewers - so you’ll have the opportunity to help shape the team as it continues to grow.
