Remote GIS Technician - Aquaculture Mapping & Analytics
Job summary
An environmental organization in the UK is seeking an entry-level GIS Technician to support aquaculture operations through geospatial data analysis, mapping, and technical assistance. The successful candidate will collaborate with environmental science teams to monitor conditions, produce maps, and develop web-based applications. Ideal for recent graduates with a degree in Geography or a related field and familiarity with GIS software. This position offers a full-time role with the flexibility to work remotely.
Qualifications
- 0-4 years of professional GIS experience.
- Coursework or internship experience with GIS software and spatial analysis.
Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and maintain geospatial data related to aquaculture.
- Produce high-quality maps, charts, and technical drawings.
- Assist field teams with GPS data collection.
