Senior Business Development Manager – US Public Sector State and Local Governments at Infosys Public Services.

Position Description

Infosys Public Services is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager – US Public Sector State and Local Governments to drive business development and join our Client Services Group. The role focuses on helping build the future of technology for the public sector.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Sales and pre-sales Managers
  • Develop sales strategy and set sales targets
  • Perform Business Development in the State Government market with a demonstrated track record
  • Close deals in IT Consulting, Systems Integration, and Support and Maintenance
  • Focus on State Government IT verticals: Health and Human Services, ERP (Oracle/PeopleSoft and SAP), CIO Services, and Transportation
  • Maintain client relationships and partner relationships in targeted States
  • Demonstrate a track record of closing multiple $10M+ deals
  • Track sales targets and document sales performance metrics
  • Analyze industry trends to stay competitive
  • Engage in client meetings, understand requirements, and coordinate with the internal pre-sales team to create well-structured proposals
  • Develop strategic consulting services sales plans and carry them through to completion
Required Experience and Skills
  • At least 14+ years of total experience, with a minimum of 5 years leading a sizeable portfolio in relevant markets
  • Knowledge of IT Services and US Government RFPs (State & Local) and proposal processes
  • Fluent in English; experience in opportunity proposal development and management
  • Experience in managing clients and sales quotas
  • Ability to explain and demonstrate IT services offerings
  • Proficiency in IT services industry terminology and jargon used with Public Sector clients
  • Exceptional ability in negotiating sales deals, contracts, and service agreements
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, industry trends, and innovation
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Previous Account Executive/Sales experience at a Tier 1 consulting firm is a strong plus
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution (three years of progressive, relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of every year of education)

The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
