As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Commercial Manager to join our Environment and Safety Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.

We are looking for a proactive, reliable and flexible Commercial Manager to join our Asbestos team. As a member of the team, it is key that you have the balance to be driven and independent, as well as being a strong team player. A background in commercial management and knowledge of the industry are essential in order to thrive in this role.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

You will be responsible for the development of turnkey projects with new and existing clients, with an emphasis on price certainty, reduction of job overruns, reduced change management challenges, risk reduction, efficient project timelines, collaborative approach, underpinned by a right first time quality approach. The purpose of the role is to develop and drive a new work stream into the business with strategic thinking and innovative approach.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following and ideally hold the following qualifications or equivalent:

• Excellent consultancy ability spanning over 10 years, and hold the BOHS Certificate of Competence in Asbestos
• ACAD Asbestos Director Training
• Track record of leadership - ILM Level 5 Leadership and Management

About Asbestos:

The SOCOTEC Asbestos team holds UKAS accreditation for both Inspection and Testing and is one of the leading asbestos consultancies in the UK. We provide all aspects of asbestos consultancy services, ensuring clients are better equipped to comply with current legislation. These services include surveying, lab analysis of samples, managing removal projects on the clients’ behalf, consultancy, policy reviews, and action plans and training. We operate out of six offices covering all areas of the UK, and assist more than 300 clients on a variety of projects, from offices to military bases and hospitals. The work our Asbestos team does is vital in preventing workers from exposure to asbestos fibres and that all clients operate within the asbestos regulations and wider health and safety framework.
