A caring organization in Paisley is seeking a Deputy Home Manager to ensure high-quality clinical care. Responsibilities include providing nursing support, taking charge in the absence of the Home Manager, and mentoring colleagues. Applicants must have a valid NMC PIN and a background in person-centred care planning. This role offers benefits such as paid NMC renewal, enhanced DBS, pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development.
As a Deputy Home Manager, you’ll be ensuring that the level of clinical care we offer goes beyond just professional standards and statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements. This means providing specialist nursing support and advice, taking responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager’s absence, and supervising/co‑aching colleagues to provide a service that’s unparalleled in its empathy for resident issues.
HC‑One is looking for a Deputy Home Manager with a valid NMC PIN, knowledge of National Standards, and the NMC code of practice. You should have a background in person‑centred care planning within a care home, be a great mentor, manage time effectively, keep meaningful records, and be considerate and kind when communicating with residents or co‑workers. Your positive energy and ability to get along with people are essential.
At HC‑One, kindness is more than a word. We believe caring for people means caring about what matters most to them, and we support them to lead the best possible life. Our diverse and inclusive workforce values every individual and fosters a workplace where everyone feels valued and can be themselves. We champion inclusivity and provide extensive career pathways, CPD and postgraduate programmes.
You’ll value kindness above all, recognising signs of abuse, harm or neglect, and be able to report concerns appropriately. You will attend safeguarding training and be able to seek advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken. Your background in person‑centred care planning and positive leadership qualities (curiosity, compassion, creativity, courage, dependability) are essential.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and will require a disclosure check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB).
Pay rate is subject to experience and qualifications.
