Join our Vodafone Business Technology Solutions team, where we support businesses of all sizes with world-class technology solutions. We design and develop our Fixed Line solutions, drive efficiency through automation and AI, and implement it all directly with our customers.

What you'll do

As a Field Maintenance Engineer supporting Vodafone's strategic telecommunications network across Scotland, you'll play a key role in delivering excellence for our customer. You'll be part of a team responsible for Routine Maintenance & Inspection (RMI) activities under the Assure contract, working across Scottish Power's infrastructure and its interfaces with SSEN and National Grid networks.

You will:

  • Deliver professional field engineering services for RMI activities across multiple contract sites.
  • Collaborate with project and senior engineers to execute planned maintenance throughout the year.
  • Ensure all work aligns with Vodafone and client expectations for quality, safety, and performance.
  • Complete and submit technical reports based on equipment testing, ensuring accurate data upload to SPEN's systems.
  • Identify and manage risks while upholding health & safety standards individually and as part of a team.
  • Apply your technical knowledge of networking principles in a telecoms high-voltage (HV) environment.
  • Contribute to successful project delivery through hands-on implementation and problem-solving.
Who you are

  • Exceptional organisation skills
  • Assure/Maintenance activity experience
  • Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work to the applicable quality standards.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC battery competence, installation/testing, identifying failing battery cells.
  • Knowledge of testing DC battery systems at different levels including discharge testing.
  • Knowledge of microwave systems that are required to have routine maintenance completed.
  • Experience in maintaining monitoring and troubleshooting networks and systems
  • Proven track record in the installation and support of DC Chargers of various types, understanding of Microwave radio technologies
