A leading energy organization is seeking an Assistant Project Management Office Advanced Apprentice to support major energy projects. This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience while contributing to sustainability goals. Successful candidates will help with project administrative tasks, data validation, and stakeholder engagement. Minimum five GCSEs including English and Maths are required. The role comes with a starting salary of £24,306 and various benefits, including 26 days of annual leave.
The Assistant Project Management Office Advanced Apprentice (PMO) role at National Grid sits within our Infrastructure Delivery (ID) team, which leads the execution of major energy projects across the UK. These projects include building and upgrading substations and transmission lines which are critical components that ensure electricity and gas are delivered safely and reliably.
One of our key initiatives is the Great Grid Upgrade, which connects more renewable energy to homes and businesses across England and Wales. As an Assistant PMO Advanced Apprentice you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of energy, gaining hands‑on experience while contributing to National Grid's sustainability goals.
Within this role, you'll gain experience in every stage of the project lifecycle, from early planning and stakeholder engagement to construction and final commissioning, including:
This role is based in the Warwick office and may offer flexible and hybrid working throughout the programme. You will be required to attend the majority of your course training at our Training Centre in Eakring, Newark. This may include multiple and frequent nights away from home. Stakeholder and site‑based meetings are likely to occur in this role too which may involve travelling to locations that are not your office base.
